facility intelligence

Intelligent manufacturing facilities — where Labs’ hardware ambitions become concrete, and where the facility itself becomes intelligent.

01the doctrine

The facility itself
can be intelligent.

An intelligent warehouse isn’t “a building full of robots.” The building can be the intelligence — sensing, coordinating, and adapting across every process inside it. That is Facility Intelligence.

02what it builds

Where hardware becomes concrete.

The hardware spectrum of Physical Intelligence — machines, electronics, devices, wearables, and chips — the direction our hardware research is headed.

a.Machines

Intelligent industrial and autonomous machinery.

b.Electronics

The boards, sensors, and systems intelligence runs on.

c.Devices

Physical products that carry intelligence into the world.

d.Wearables

Intelligence worn on the body — glasses, frames, and beyond.

e.Chips

Advanced semiconductors and Labs’ own compute silicon.

f.Advanced materials

New materials, researched and produced at scale.

03the compute layer

Compute where the action is.

Physical Intelligence needs compute where physical action occurs — not solely inside hyperscale clouds. Factory5227 is where Labs’ vertically integrated physical-compute strategy is researched. All of the below is envisioned architecture under research.

MiniGWedge-scale

Compute at the device and network boundary, where action happens.

MediumGWfacility-scale

Compute embedded across an intelligent facility.

MegaGWcampus-scale

Gigawatt-class compute for frontier intelligence and orchestration.

Factory5227 facility & compute

Factory5227 is where the frontier gets a floor to stand on — facilities, hardware, and the compute that runs where action occurs.

where this stands

Everything here is research.

Factory5227 has not launched a product, facility, or compute system. This is a frontier under active research — shared as it matures.
